Writing to Mr. Colman of Lilly, Wait & Colman. As Lilly, Wait & Co. have been so obliging to her, she agreed to write something in the "ballad metre" to accompany "this beautiful picture" and will work on another piece for the other picture [not included]. Would like to keep the proof of the picture for her scrapbook if they don't require it to send to another writer. Inquiring about payments to Mrs. Wells per thousand of "the little book of her rhymes should you publish them" and what additional payment will be provided if she produces "drawings (to illustrate her own little book) according to what any three engravers may say they are worth." With note about what the publisher would offer and docket on verso "Agreet with Mrs A. M. Wells... Chil. Books & Cuts."
