Photograph related to unidentified family. Contents consist of individual and group portraits of family members including children and couples. Also present are several images of a group of young women skiing and snowshoeing, people camping, boats on the Great Lakes (including a tanker stuck in ice), and vacation photos of Michigan tourist attractions such as the Soo Locks, Fort Mackinac, waterfalls, and lakes. Includes approximately 229 photographs. Volume 18 x 30 cm.

Collection compiled by David V. Tinder of photographs taken by African American photographers in Detroit, Michigan. Photographers represented include Charles P. Adler, George H. Anderson, Virgil C. Davis, James P. Langford, DeMarr Solomon, Alphonse Sparkman, John J. Theus, and Top Hat Photo Studio. Contents mainly consist of individual and group portraits of African Americans. Of note are images of baseball players, boxers, choir groups, wedding groups, family portraits, the Elks Lodge, an orchestra, men and women seated with political propaganda in the background, a graduation class in front of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a possible postmortem portrait of a small child. Also present is a brief description of early African American photographers in Detroit and an article written by David V. Tinder for the Fred Hart Williams Genealogical Society Newsletter of March 1997, a project of the Detroit Public Library's Burton Historical Collection. Includes 65 photographs. Box 33 x 33 cm.

Two photograph albums documenting the Service Conveyor company in Detroit, Michigan. Credited photographers include Manning Bros. Commercial Photographers, Stinson, and Robert E. Stoffer. Volume A contains views of machinery, the shop floor, transport vehicles, men presumably associated with the company, various parts of the factory, and images of the company's product in action at the Studebaker plant in South Bend, Indiana. Also of interest is an image of a possible schematic for a conveyor system in an aircraft plant as well as several pieces of advertising ephemera and a letter from the Chas A. Strelinger Company to C. M. Drake dated May 5 1948 regarding "the one and only continuous chain system" at Fisher Brody and the "roller turn" developed by George Maurath. Volume B contains five paper headings relating to "sections" of the album (what sections pertain to is unclear) and five photographs of machinery within the factory including two labeled "FoMoCo Valve Handlings." Includes 70 photographs, 6 pieces of ephemera, and 1 letter. Both volumes 33.5 x 26.5 cm.

Photograph album compiled by Aloysius A. Deimel (ordained as a Catholic priest in 1933) containing images related to Deimel's time at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Michigan, and Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Norwood, Ohio. Of particular interest are identified portraits of staff and students as well as images of campus, buildings, student life (including plays, sports, band practice, and a snowball fight), and ceremonies. Also present are newspaper articles related to Sacred Heart's founding and mission, a report card from Deimel's first year at Sacred Heart, and a card advertising a minstrel show put on by students in 1923. Includes approximately 1305 photographs, 6 pieces of ephemera, and 1 postcard. Volume 26 x 33 cm.

Contents consist of images of the plant exterior, women working in the clerical office, and interior scenes showing facilities and the sequence of bread loaf production from sifting of flour to delivery by truck. Includes 61 photographs. Volume 19.5 x 27.5 cm.
