This oversized scrapbook consists of sections of Barnum, Bailey & Hutchinson circus advertising posters. The imagery includes circus tents, musical wagons (including the "Silver-Tubed Caliope" and "Sacred Chimes"), camels and horses, animal trainers, artillerymen seemingly of Middle Eastern descent (possibly part of the "Bedouin Arab" performers), acrobats, minstrel performers, African American musicians, and portraits of P. T. Barnum, J. A. Bailey, and J. L. Hutchinson.

The album (16 x 19.5 cm) has leather covers with the word “Photographs” stamped on the front in gold. A loose card is included that provides explanatory information and corresponding page numbers for each photograph in the album. Most of the photographs are outdoor scenes with groups of people. Images of note include views of Park Street in Boston looking towards the capitol building, the 1867 suspension bridge, Ether Monument and Washington Monument in the Boston Public Gardens, the Boston Public Waterworks from Beacon Street in Chestnut Hill, a fisherman, an old whaling ship in New Bedford, Plymouth-area monuments, cemeteries, and downtown, and two people in a carriage in front of the Egypt Train Depot in Scituate, Massachusetts. Also present is a cyanotype postcard of a young woman sitting and reading with “Miss Mary E. Black/Eggemoggin, Maine” written on the back.

Breve Trattato di Geografia is a 55-page, 17th-century Italian work on celestial and terrestrial geography, including several maps and diagrams of the world. The treatise is divided into four primary sections and, within them, individual chapters. Early chapters in the book mention the zodiac and celestial features, while later chapters focus on the world's landmasses and degrees of latitude and longitude. The latter half of the volume contains several hand-drawn maps that depict the contemporary view of the world on several scales and according to different projections. One map of the world shows North and South America and "Terra Australe Incognita," while another map of North and South America is labeled "Mexicana" and "Peruana," respectively. Azimuthal projections of Africa and Asia and of the northern hemisphere and a map of Italy showing the location of Rome are also included. A currently unidentified cobbler from Bristol, Maine, kept this daybook between 1836 and 1844, recording the names of customers, their purchases, and amounts charged. Customers purchased shoes, boots, and leather, paid for the labor of making or repairing footwear, and repair work on items like harnesses and halters.

Its interior is grooved for the placement of three removable wooden panels, one of which is present. A January 9, 1861, note by Philadelphia lawyer Henry J. Williams indicates that the trunk was seized by the French as a prize during the American Revolution, and that his father Jonathan Williams brought it to the United States when returning from his service as acting U.S. Consul at Nantes. Mid-twentieth-century paper tags indicate that the trunk was one of three from the estate of Henry J. Williams' son-in-law Alexander Biddle, discovered after the death of Biddle's son Lynford Biddle in 1941, and sold by Parke-Bernet Galleries in 1943.

The album (14.5 x 18.5 cm) has green cloth covers with "Photographs" stamped in gold on the front. Images of interest include views of Italianate and Dutch Colonial houses, Brookline after a heavy snowfall, a Deerfoot Farm Dairy Brookline Delivery cart, a young woman with a Gibson Girl hairstyle, portraits of women and men playing tennis and resting on a lawn, people at a rocky beach, an interior view of a residence, group portraits taken during a hiking trip, and two halftone prints of the Harvard Congregational Church.

Volume one (19 x 14 cm) has brown paper covers with "Photographs/Souvenirs/of/Denver Colo" stamped on the front cover and contains approximately 67 photographs. Contents mostly consist of architectural photographs of houses in rural or semi-rural settings as well as portraits, many of which are accompanied by handwritten notes. Images of interest include the farm of Henry Brown near Toledo, Ohio; a woman standing near a roadside fruit and flower stand; the homes of Will, Ben and Harry Fox; the Abraham Lincoln home and tomb in Springfield, Illinois; the Catholic Church in Stuart, Iowa; and the courthouse and high school of Fremont, Nebraska. Also of note are photographs of the High Bridge in Boone, Iowa, the Methodist Church in Pueblo, Colorado, and a large house in Monroe, Michigan, possibly the home of Cyrus Augustus Olmsted (1863-1948).

Volume two (20 x 15 cm) has black fabric covers and contains approximately 186 photographs. Contents mainly consist of portraits and outdoor views from a trip to Colorado. Between the inside front cover and seventh page there are numerous portraits of men, women, and children, and many more individual and group portraits are present throughout the remainder of the album. Subsequent images of interest include outdoor views of the American West; a rest tent called the "Corona Café"; a cyanotype of a woman sitting on a rocking horse; the front of a train and the downtown area of a small railroad town; a church en route to Denver, Colorado; a woman holding a Brownie Box camera on her lap; Castle Rock, Colorado as seen from aboard a train; multiple pictures of an infant; views of Garden of the Gods; a snowy street scene with a streetcar in what appears to be Denver; and a group of people shaking hands with an individual wearing a Native American headdress.

The Celebrity portraits scrapbook contains numerous clipped engraved portraits of actors, actresses, singers, musicians, entertainers, politicians, writers, and other famous individuals that were compiled by an aunt of Florence C. Everett (wife of Norwood, Massachusetts-based journalist William Winthrop Everett) during the 1880s.

The volume (32 x 19 cm) has brown leather covers (front cover detached) and contains 176 pages, all of which bear pasted-in engravings that were clipped from various newspapers, magazines, journals, advertisements, etc. Two inscriptions are present on the inside of the front cover; one states “This book is the property of W. W. Everett - 76 Winter St. Norwood, Mass.” while the other reads “The book was made by Mrs. W. W. Everett’s aunt Helen, probably in the 1880s. WWE.” The volume appears to have originally served as some type of accounting ledger before being repurposed.

Notable individuals represented within the volume include Joseph Jefferson, Sarah Bernhardt, P. T. Barnum, Lillie Langtry, Genevieve Ward, J. H. Haverly, E. A. Sothern, Sol Smith Russell, Ada Gilman, James H. Wallick, Adelaide Neilson, Buffalo Bill, Mittens Willett, Henry Clay, Susan B. Anthony, Wendell Phillips, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Louis Pasteur.

This collection consists of 7 documents and printed items relating to the steamship City of Glasgow and its voyages between Liverpool and Philadelphia between 1850 and 1852, including advertising materials, receipts, and a passenger manifest.

This collection consists of seven documents and printed items relating to the steamship City of Glasgow and its voyages between Liverpool and Philadelphia between 1850 and 1852, including advertising materials, receipts, and a passenger manifest.

The documents in the collection include three partially printed receipts signed by the Philadelphia agent Thomas Richardson for freight payments. There is also a manifest of the passengers who sailed on the ship in August 1852, listing their names, age, sex, occupation, country of origin and "Country of which it is their intention to become inhabitants," number of packages or baggage, and number of passengers who died during the voyage. The passengers are separated into those sailing via cabin or steerage, and they range in age from infants to 70 years old. Countries of origin include Ireland, England, the United States, France, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland, and Belgium. Final destinations for immigrants include the United States, Canada, and Peru. A variety of occupations are represented, such as farmers, merchants and shipping agents, engineers, weavers, millwrights, and skilled tradesmen like a glass cutter, blacksmith, jeweler, galvanizer, and more. A British vocalist, Thomas Bishop, and Boston artist John Pope (1821-1880) are listed as cabin passengers.

Advertising materials include a November [1850] printed circular sent to William D. Lewis for an upcoming event to "celebrate the arrival of the Steamer 'City of Glasgow,' the first of the new line of Steamships established to ply between this port and Liverpool." There is also an illustrated printed broadside produced by the Richardson Brothers & Co. in 1851 to advertise the Liverpool and Philadelphia Steam Ship Company and the Pennsylvania Steam Ship Company's "Steam Communication Monthly from Liverpool to New York, Baltimore, Pittsburg, Cincinnati, Charleston, Havana, &c., By Way of Philadelphia." The City of Glasgow is listed as one of their four ships, with notes about ship tonnage, departure dates, rates of passage, rates of freight, and additional information about securing railroad tickets to American cities. Printed on yellow paper, the broadside features a decorative border and an engraving of a steamship.

The exposed cover page bears a montage photograph showing printed flowers with an inscription reading "A Merry Christmas / 1897" as well as a portrait of an unidentified young man. Images of note include views of Clinton Prison, the "Warden's Garden" dedicated to Warden Walter N. Thayer, the Clinton Prison chapel, Chazy Lake and waterfalls on the Saranac River, a studio portrait of a man with a safety bicycle, and a group shot of 22 uniformed men captioned "W. N. Thayer Hose Company." Also present is a loose photograph of a dirt road in Saranac, New York.
