Tinder showing a variety of Michigan locations including downtown Detroit, waterfront homes in Grosse Pointe Park, the Belle Isle bridge, General Motors Cadillac plant in Detroit, the Ford Motor Company airport in Dearborn, and a National Guard camp in Grayling as well as several views of scenes in Kalamazoo the Western Michigan Normal School and several factories. Also present are several unidentified landscape and city views. The collector has identified and provided additional information on several images. Majority of photographs credited to Kalec & Forster. Includes 36 photographs. Volume 29.5 x 26.5 cm.

Photograph album containing pictures taken by an unidentified woman of scenes in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Contents consist of images of family members, scenery, and activities in Crystal Lake, Dutch Hills, South Haven, Grand Beach, Castle Rock, Dearborn, and Wolf Lake in Michigan; Orland Park, Mundelein, the Kankakee River, Glenwood Park, Sky Harbor, and Waukegan Dunes in Illinois; and Long Beach and Hammond in Indiana. Of note are images of a dog named "Buster," the Dearborn Parish picnic at Maple Hill in 1929, an American Legion picnic at Glenwood Park, "Big Ben" (a small aircraft flown in the Hunter Brothers Endurance Flight at Sky Harbor on July 4 1930), and a group identified as the "Murphy" family in Long Beach, Indiana. Includes 134 photographs. Volume 30 x 18.5 cm.

Photograph album advertising products and equipment produced by Kurth & Knapp Manufacturing Company in Detroit, Michigan. Contents consist of images of company products installed in a variety of manufacturing facilities such as Electric Auto Lite Co. in Toledo, Ohio, and Detroit-based companies including Wolverine Tube Co., Chrysler Corporation plants, and the Hudson Motor Car Company. Also present are individual images of products and equipment with notations on the verso about what companies they were being used by. Photographs include typewritten captions. Credited photographers include Manning Bros., R. A. Meyers, and Grossman, Knowling, Lehr, Inc. Includes 61 photographs. Volume 19.5 x 27.5 cm.

Professional booking portfolio for the acrobatic duo Park & Clifford (Frank Zyskowski and Robert C. Clifford) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with additional publicity photographs and advertisements. The portfolio contains four images showing Park & Clifford performing various stunts while the publicity photos show them performing on stage, standing next to a sign advertising their show, Park & Clifford dressed in tuxedos, and a head shot of Park. Also present is a photo clipped from a magazine, an illustrated advertising sheet, a receipt for photographs purchased from the William Morris Agency in New York, a short note regarding Clifford, and two identical photocopies of a variety show program listing Park & Clifford as an act. Includes 12 photographs and 6 pieces of ephemera. Volume 29 x 25.5 cm.

Uniroyal Tire Company photograph album, ca. 1930s-1985

Volume 139, Tinder Albums [Tinder A.2.1930.3]

Binder compiled by Uniroyal Tire Company employee Dave Guindon regarding the history of the company. The album begins with a two-page history of the company written by Guindon and contains photographs showing the plant in Detroit, Michigan, and its evolution over time from a relatively small brick factory into a sprawling complex along the Detroit River. Also present are color snapshots of the plant's demolition in 1985 and several newspaper clippings about the demolition as well as photocopies of advertisements from the Morgan & Wright Company in Detroit (one of the companies that was purchased to create Uniroyal Tire), architectural renderings of the factory from the 1930s, and information about the Uniroyal Giant Tire that was developed as an amusement ride and display for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair before being subsequently modified and moved to Allen Park, Michigan, to be used as advertising for the company. Includes 22 photographs and several pieces of ephemera. Volume 29 x 29 cm.

Photograph album documenting the 1931 American Legion National Convention in Detroit, Michigan, including the parade which at the time was the largest parade in the world. The album's unidentified compiler also included canceled stamps on each page of the album for reasons unknown. Includes 79 photographs. Volume 22.5 x 27.5 cm.

Photograph album containing images of flooding in Rome, Georgia, showing various buildings, streets, stores, homes, vehicles, and telephone poles submerged in the flood water. Also present are pictures of what appears to be some sort of store, a decorated Christmas tree, a car in deep snow, various objects including "Saint Rita" and a marble vase of flowers, a store interior (likely a jewelry store), the main entrance of St. Mary's Church at night, a miniature model home scene, a photograph with a sign in it that reads "Mt. Aventine S. Rome Garden Club," and a newspaper clipping about a "city clock" (likely in Chicago) and "century of progress, 1833-1933." Includes 35 photographs. Volume 32 x 26 cm.
