Written in French. Contract for the temporary employment of Raphael Beauvais and Nicolas Godé. The men were hired to spend a year in the land of the Ottowas trading on behalf of Perrot and his partnership. Contract stipulates that payment will be made in beaver skins at the current rate of the bureau in Quebec. Perrot’s partnership was financially responsible for living expenses during this year. Contract states that they may bring a gun, six shirts, two hats, and pelts which they may trade for their own profit. Signed by notaire Antoine Adhémar, N[icholas] Perrot, Raphael Beauvais, and Nicolas Godé as well as witnesses Louis Dupied (dit Le Parisien) and Claude Pinard. Addendum dated August 27, 1689.

Notes Moore is purported to be "excellently well qualified for this undertaking" and has "the greatest Recommendation." Jurin requests Paul Dudley's "protection and assistance" during Thomas More's planned visit.
