Short narrative of Thomas Hickey's attempt to capture and deliver General George Washington to General William Howe, and Hickey's hanging. "This occurrence did not seem to disturb the Gen'l. I was with him the next day."

Written by three different people reporting on inhabitants possibly involved in immoral or criminal conduct or suffering from poverty. Notes women living without their husbands and those suspected of having "fowle disease." Mentions people's housing and its condition. Notes those believed to be idle. Includes a reference to a man and his wife who "keep an Indian Woman" and a woman who "lives alone (save a Negro woman sometimes with her)." Notes a mixed-race man married to a Native American.

Orders to captain of a slave ship to collect slaves in Africa and sell them in Barbados; "purchase what Slaves in your power proceeding down to the Gold Coast…When you have finished your Trade on the Coast proceed to Barbados." If they miss Barbados, they should proceed to St. Kitt's, "and if you cannot fetch St. Kitts proceed to St. Croix."
