The series contains thirteen subseries: Appointments Division, Cabinet Affairs, Chief Operating Office, Constituent Services, External Affairs, Faith-Based and Community Partnerships, Governor's Residence, Legislative Affairs, Operations, Scheduling, Southeast Michigan Office, Transition, 2010, and Washington, D. C. Office.
The Appointments Division subseries contains correspondence relating to appointments and files on abolished boards and commissions.
The Chief Operating Office subseries documents relations between the governor and cabinet members. Files include meeting agendas, Cabinet on the Road files, and executive orders and directives.
The Constituent Services subseries contains a series of letters from constituents arranged by subject and templates for outgoing letters.
The External Affairs subseries documents the governor's outreach efforts. Files include emails and spreadsheets related to monthly mayor phone calls, correspondence with constituent groups, and public affairs materials related to the Kwame Kilpatrick removal hearing.
