The Public Relations reference file, 1976-2005, is divided between Events listed chronologically and Topical. Large Groups and Portraits include some photos of Stanley Kresge and his wife, Dorothy, long-term supporters of the YMCA. The Ford family had a historic link with the YMCA through Henry Ford Sr. who taught at the YMCA in the 1890s. Some YMCA events were hosted at the historic Ford home in Grosse Pointe. The gradual change in leadership, becoming more inclusive of the Black community in Detroit, can be seen over the years in this photographic history.
