Education, Health, and Social Issues
Materials in the Education, Health, and Social Issues series (1978-2009 and undated) pertain primarily to public service documentaries produced by Sue Marx, as well as to films that profiled educational and medical success stories relevant to southeastern Michigan. Topics addressed by films in this series include but are not limited to AIDS, teenage pregnancy, single parenting, recovery from bone marrow transplant, and competitive swimming. The Education, Health, and Social Issues contains approximately 15 folders of manuscript materials, close to 235 video recordings in various formats (film reels, VHS videotapes, U-matic videotapes, Betacam-SP videotapes, Mini-DV videotapes, and other formats), as well as digital formats. Also contained in these series are 5 audiocassettes.
