Letter from Commissary General to Gerry, "or in his absence to one other of the Com[mit]tee of Supplys." Looking for Captain Foster to "procure the list of military stores" and expects Gerry's powder to be in his store shortly, "the small arms are extreemly called for." Notes shortages of supplies, including clothing, writing materials, rum, lemons. Engineers in need of a bed for the mortar. Wants cash to purchase "a few small articles for the army." Encountered Foster and is enclosing his list of stores [not included]. Note on verso mentions the need for cattle to be slaughtered for the camp.
