Audio Reel-to-Reel News Briefs, 1975-1994
The Audio Reel-to-Reel News Briefs subseries consists of 93 seven inch reel-to-reel tapes and 2 five inch reel-to-reel tapes produced between 1975 and 1994, with the bulk of the dates ranging from 1975 to 1984. The content of these tapes are University produced news briefs that were made available to local radio stations through an automatic phone distribution system. The tapes contain news reports on University operations, perspectives on politics and the economy from UM scholars, and research happening at the University. Researchers would find additional audio news briefs in the main News and Information Services collection stored separately.
