“Provision return for one Indian and two Squaws four days commencing the fifth and ending the eight inst [sic.] invlusive.” Includes the equation of “3 Indians 4 days 2 Rat[ions] per day = 24 Rations.” Statement that the three individuals were owed 24 rations of flour and beef. Signed by Assistant Quarter Master Art[hu]r Stewart and Adjunct General John Mills. N.B. Stewart and Mills were serving under General Anthony Wayne.

He "was prevented by one Reubin jones who has beat the savage so unmercifully that his life was dispaired of, I issued a warrant for Jones but he is fled." he fears that the Indians might retaliate if the wounded Indian dies.
