Later Camp and Academy, 1946-1996 (majority within 1948-1979)
The later Camp/Academy portion, largely 1948-1984, is far less extensive. In 1942, having built a darkroom, Interlochen began maintaining its own photo archives. Although some later prints have been added through manuscript accessions, the archives at Interlochen remains the best source of photographs on its recent history.
Despite the limitations of the post-1942 prints, they include some interesting images. They cover Van Cliburn's and Luci Baines Johnson's appearances, Alden Dow's architectural work, C.S. Mott's building dedication, and Werner von Braun's visit with his Camper daughter as well as the ISME meeting with participants Norman Dello Joio, Demitri Kabalevsky, and Zoltan Kodaly.
