Far less extensive in nature, the Camp files, 1945-1966 subseries represents what survived from the remainder of the Maddy administration. His correspondence with Giddings and Tremaine, faculty and staff, and others are included. Until Giddings and Tremaine ended their active participation (by the late 1940's and late 1950's respectively), their exchanges with Maddy continued to provide insight into Camp operations: Giddings mainly on personnel and Tremaine on finances. From the late 1950's on, Maddy exercised more independence in making decisions. While faculty and staff are fairly well represented in the later files, little survived from a student perspective other than a few laudatory letters. Researchers will need to examine the earlier Camp subseries as well as the Subject, Printed, and Scrapbooks series for information about Camper life.
