Executive Committee, 1946-2005
The Executive Committee minutes and agendas are arranged in one chronological series. Minutes for meetings prior to 1949 can be found within the records of the Survey Research Center. The minutes offer insight into key issues such as the creation of new centers, the types of researchers ISR sought to recruit and promote, research design and sources of funding, as well as the institute's relationships with the university. There are occasionally broad discussions of the social sciences; for example in 1990 the committee explored the idea of a Social Sciences Consortium. Also included is a miscellaneous file group consisting of notes from meetings, lists of members, and correspondence.
