The University Files series contains correspondence and other records which document ITDs involvement with other university-based organizations, such as the Media Union, and the Library System. The series is divided into two subseries, 1984-1992 and 1992-1997, reflecting two separate accessions.
The 1984-1992 subseries (2 linear ft.) consists largely of correspondence between ITD and academic and administrative units. It is divided into two subseries: Executive and Administrative Offices and Academic and Support Units. Files for individual units range from several items to several folders and provide information on the state of computing, information technology development, and unit computing applications. The records also reflect programmatic and budgetary concerns during a period of rapid change in the campus computing environment.
