Crisler's papers also contain material relating to Amos Alonzo Stagg, his football coach and mentor at the University of Chicago. Primarily correspondence with and about Stagg, 1930-1968, the series includes many letters received by Crisler in response to his article on Stagg which appeared in the Readers Digest feature "My Most Unforgettable Character".
