Classroom Processes Study
From 1958-1965 Leacock served as Senior Research Associate, Schools and Mental Health Project, Bank Street, a National Institute of Mental Health Project. During this time, she undertook the "Classroom Processes Study" conducting her fieldwork between 1960-1963. The study was published in monograph form under the title "Teaching and Learning in City Schools, 1969." Materials in this series include: classroom observations, charts, interviews, reports, articles, questionnaires, maps and newspaper clippings. Materials are arranged into four sub-series: Background Materials, Publications, Classrooms, and Interviews/Observations.
The Background Materials sub-series includes notes, papers, drafts and blank outline forms to be used in the classroom processes study. Materials are arranged topically.
The Publiations sub-series includes drafts of "Teaching and Learning in City Schools"and study presentation materials. These items are arranged topically.
The Classrooms sub-series includes school statistics, memos, collected school data and observations from the different classrooms studied. Items are arranged by classroom identification number.
The Interviews/Observations sub-series includes teacher observation charts, child interviews, and questionnaires from the different schools studied. Items are arranged topically and by classroom identification number.
