Souvenir album containing photomechanical reproductions of views of Negaunee, Michigan, taken by photographer William H. Israel. The album begins with an essay about Negaunee's history, location, and population written by Walter C. Hornstein. Of note are images of monuments to the iron industry, the city's "Common Council," various municipal buildings, the First National Bank, mines, miners, mine offices, mining machinery, street scenes, numerous businesses (including banks, lumber companies, clothing stores, furniture makers, hotels, undertakers, bakeries, grocers, breweries, jewelers, billiard parlors, and the Marquette County Gas and Electric Company), fire teams, residences, churches, winter sports, animals, the high school, the sanatorium and hospital, the Marquette County Courthouse, and the Upper Peninsula Branch prison. Also present is an image of a barber shop that specializes in haircuts for children that includes an advertisement for William H. Israel's photography studio. The album was published by William H. Israel with assistance from F. R. Loukes. Includes 117 photomechanical prints. Volume 15 x 22.5 cm.

Contents consist of family scenes and images taken in various Michigan locations including Kinne Creek, Two Rivers, Pentwater, L'Anse, Silver River, Pequaming, Ludington, Cheboygan, Elkhart Lake, Mackinac Island, Eagle Harbor, and Arvon. Many photographs feature two small boys identified as "Bill" and "Ned." Also of note are four pictures of a woman bottle feeding an infant (possibly a nanny) in which the woman's face appears to have been intentionally cut or torn away. Most images have captions. Of note are views of various campus buildings including the Michigan Union (captioned "New Michigan Union, 'Navy Mess Hall') following its conversion into a barracks and mess hall for the the Students' Army Training Corps, aerial views of Ann Arbor, a steamboat "at anchor," and numerous portraits of young men in uniform. Also present are images of young men and women together, a dairy farmer with his calves, personal residences and/or farmhouses, and a man sitting in the midst of some type of wreckage. The first album contains information on the consignment of postcards as well as a price list on the first and last pages respectively as well as images of Negaunee and L'Anse. The second album contains images of Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor, Mohawk, and Phoenix. Includes 56 postcards and 1 real photo postcard. 2 volumes each 14.5 x 20.5 cm.
