The Mitchell brothers founded the town of Jennings as a lumbering center in 1883 and by 1896 owned the department store. Images include exterior shots (one of which shows employees posing with horse-drawn wagons), and interior shots showing men, women, children, clothing, fabrics, groceries, furniture, a butcher counter, etc. The first page contains information about the Mitchell Brothers Co.
