The Teaching and Education Materials series is comprised of material from Cope's teaching activities at Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University as well as from his own study at Western Michigan. The series is divided into four subseries: Cope Education, GRCC and WMU, Naropa University, and Programs.

The Cope Education subseries contains lecture notes and course materials pertaining to Cope's education from Western Michigan University. The GRCC and WMU subseries includes course materials and lecture notes from his teaching career both at Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University. There are also files pertaining to faculty goals and improvement, as well as David Cope's efforts to initiate a Women's Studies Program at GRCC.

The Naropa University subseries includes materials from various summer programs and Naropa's 20th anniversary celebration. The Programs subseries includes resources from programs that Cope facilitated, such as the Shakespeare in Performance course that was taught in England.
