The Teaching Materials series, 1968-2007 (1.5 linear feet) documents Brace's teaching with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Michigan. Materials include syllabi, course schedules, and additional course materials for ANTHRO 161, 566, 471, 661, 670, 701, and his standard fall and winter courses 362, and 570. Also in this series, there is a small amount of correspondence regarding his advising work.

The Topical Files series, 1954-2008 (2 linear feet) is made up of ten subseries of varied content; Brace, Mary L., Dendrograms, Krapina, Oceania, Research Travel, Samurai, University of Auckland, University of California Santa Barbara, University of Colorado, University of Hawaii, University of Michigan, Department of Anthropology, Creation Evolution Debate, Korean Studies Committee, and Museum of Anthropology.
