Still has damaged cloth and doesn't know how to move it. Other unsold goods include handkerchiefs from Rouen (which aren't worn here), white napkins, and other cloth. Has decided to stay and will invest in Rubiou Savignais' coffee plantation. Hopes to double their capital through interest. St. Domingue is evacuated. Has been assured of compensation with added funds for requisitions made by the army. Mail through Spain to Havana, which comes every 15 days to St. Jago de Cuba.
