Abstract:
Small collection of printed items relating to “Dr. T. A. Dutton’s Vegetable Discovery.” Double-sided circular seeking agents, stating it is “The BEST WAY to provide for yourself and those dependent on you.” Blank application to become an agent for Fairchild selling the Vegetable Discovery, including a Certificate of Character. Double-sided broadside advertising the medicine and providing reviews. Refers to the medicine as the “world famed Blood Mixture,” being a "guaranteed cure for all blood diseases" such as skin diseases and blemished, glandular swellings, sores, hip and spinal diseases, ringworms, sore eyes, eczema, and more. Copy of Fairchild’s Journal with images of H. L. Fairchild, Dr. T. A.Dutton, and the residence and laboratory on the front page. Documents feature the trademark of the Vegetable Discovery, a star with a lamp in the middle and symbols in each point. Includes pre-printed return envelope.
