Disliked hearing he was heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, believing it too difficult for his lungs to travel by lake again. Admonishes him not to pretend he is healthier than he is. Family news and health, noting the presence of an English man working for them. Short note from Evvy added to the end of the letter, asking advice about Nelly mistreating Dicky.
