Certifying that saltpeter, "offerd for Inspection by Josiah Buel of Lebanon the maker thereof," has been found "clean and dry and free from any corrupt mixture." Received the saltpeter for "the use of this colony." Signed by Williams, Pinneo, and Abel, Selectmen. Docketed on verso by Jabez Clark, on December 31, 1776, acknowledging receipt of payment on behalf of Josiah Buel.
