Abstract:
Copy of the original return provided in pursuance of the 1785 Act "for directing the mode of distributing the Donation Lands, promised the troops by this Commonwealth." Survey of Lot 1561, performed on October 11, 1785, consisting of 200 acres of land on the west side of the Alleghany River in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Includes a manuscript map of the lot, noting a river, types of trees, and surrounding lots. Docketed on the verso "Thomas Monday, private."
