Abstract:
Five manuscript letters and one printed circular letter with manuscript annotations replying to requests for information about Revolutionary War pensions from Amweg, a lawyer, and Donnelly. Written by employees of the Pension Office, Secretary's Office at Harrisburg, the State Department at Harrisburg, and the Adjutant General's Office of the War Department in Washington, D.C. Several note failed searches for files relating to veterans, while one provides advice about seeking out documentation and the printed circular lists out directions and restrictions regarding various applications to the War Department. The items bear evidence that they were once contained together in a bound volume.
