Scope and Content:

Photographs related to the Briscoe family of Detroit, Michigan, compiled into a modern notebook by David V. Tinder. Contents consist of portraits of various family members as well as printed out biographical and genealogical information including references to a car produced by automotive pioneer Benjamin Briscoe in Jackson, Michigan, and an earlier Benjamin Briscoe who assembled and operated a Baldwin locomotive in 1839 on the new Detroit & Pontiac Railroad. Includes 19 cartes de visite. Volume 29.5 x 24.5 cm.
