Sub-series includes portraits of various individuals primarily involved in the field of engineering including Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Thomas Edison, John Ericsson, Henry Bessemer, Charles F. Brush, John A. Roebling, Lord Thomas Brassey, Andrew Carnegie, Montgomery C. Meigs, Robert Stephenson, Henry Ford, Guglielmo Marconi, and John D. Rockefeller. Also present are two portraits of noted stereograph collector William Culp Darrah. Of particular note is a portrait of Isambard Kingdom Brunel by Howlett & Dranes; a signed cabinet card portrait of Thomas Edison; and an image showing the board of expert engineers for the Brooklyn Bridge project (including John and Washington Roebling) posing on the Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge.
